GlucoHome is designed so that anyone — technical or not — can go from zero to a fully private, clinical-grade glucose dashboard without needing to call their IT support.
GlucoHome uses secure Google sign-in to create your account. No passwords to manage — just one click to get started.
We use NextAuth.js with Google OAuth 2.0. Your account is scoped to your email address and never shared externally.
Link your Dexcom G6, G7, or compatible device through Dexcom's official API. GlucoHome handles the OAuth handshake — you just approve the connection.
We use the official Dexcom Developer API. Your Dexcom credentials are never stored by GlucoHome. The OAuth token is stored securely in your own database.
Run GlucoHome on a home server, Raspberry Pi, NAS device, or a VPS. We support Docker and bare-metal Node.js deployments.
You need: Node.js 18+, a MySQL database (local or cloud), and a domain or local network address. The whole stack can run on a $35 Raspberry Pi 4.
Open your browser and get an AGP chart, Time-in-Range breakdown, HbA1c trend, and live reading — updated every 5 minutes, from anywhere.
Your data is fetched directly from Dexcom's API and stored in your database. GlucoHome renders it client-side — our servers never see your readings.
Log events, ask the AI companion about your patterns, set smart alerts, and get plain-language education about what your glucose is telling you.
The AI companion uses your actual historical glucose data to give personalised, contextual insights — not generic diabetes tips.
What you'll need
There are no subscriptions. You run GlucoHome on your own hardware.
Why it matters
Living with diabetes means making dozens of micro-decisions every day — what to eat, when to exercise, how much insulin to take. Those decisions are better with better information.
The Dexcom app shows you a number and a direction arrow. GlucoHome shows you the full clinical picture: patterns, variability, trends over months, and the educational context that helps you actually internalise what your body is doing and why.
